EXCITING RESOURCE BOOST

Kia ora koutou

Minister Hipkins announced a $16 million funding boost to adult and community education providers over the next four years – starting in 2021.  Some of this is allocated for school-based programmes to support community learning, training, wellbeing and upskilling.

Rosehill College Adult Learning Centre is excited by this news as it is a commitment by this government to reinvest in lifelong learning opportunities at a local level.  Our community needs are greater than ever and we value this investment in the livelihoods of those most impacted by coronavirus.

We have started the process of developing a range of appropriate upskilling and new school-based programmes.  At this stage we would welcome feedback from the community on:

  • What classes/programmes you see of need now?
  • What courses may be of interest in the future?
  • Can you contribute in any way to our programmes through teaching or mentoring?
  • Feedback on classes you have previously attended
